The first working conference of European NDT committee has been held in Manchester, U.K. from Nov 1st to 3rd. General director and vice general director of ChSNDT, CSME branch, Mr. Xu yongchang and Miss Zhu yaqing joined the conference. Representatives, apart from Chairman of EFNDT, Ph.D Farley, also include Mr. Thompson from the first conference group and those outside EFNDT. ChSNDT joined EFNDT in this February and became the eighth members of EFNDT. Main topics dicussed in the conference include common international standards and some inappropriate parts of European NDT standards, and the feasibility of implementation and training according to according to a same international standards and European standards. Australia has signed a mutual recognition agreement about personnel certificate with EFNDT according to ISO9712 standard. ChSNDT also want to know something about the possibility about mutual recognition on personnel certificate.

    Before this conference, ChSNDT had delivered a report introducing something about Chinese NDT certificate training, verification and issuance,  implementation of international standards, and the request to make mutual recognition about certificate. Director of WG1 responsible for check and chairman of EFNDT appreciated a lot about the report after receipt and put it to be the first discussed topic in the conference. During the conference, ChSNDT made two supplements about ChSNDT's status in Chinese NDT field and qualification. Representatives all considered that ChSNDT has made a clear introduction about personnel certificate. Chairmen from German  and Italian societies made a speech supporting the mutual recognition. They also said that China is a great country with great international influence, the mutual recognition will benefit both sides. The topic was then passed without any opposite advice. If ready, ChSNDT will start the formal examination procedure to  enter EFNDT.
