Summarization for 16wcndt

   16WCNDT was closed in Montreal,Canada on September 3rd. WCNDT conference, so-called Olympic Conference in the field of NDT, has its great influences and enjoy high reputation all around the NDT world. Chinese NDT delegation with 37 members was leaded by Mr.Geng rongsheng and Xu Yongchang who will be the chairman and secratery-general respectively, of 17wcndt in 2008. This great event will be instructive and offers experience for 17wcndt in Shanghai.

   All together more than 700 articles were received in the event. About 500 articles were added to the list of the event, and 575 articles were added to the collection. All the articles were classified by UT, ET,Laser,Infred ,Microwave and Signal Processing Technology according different inspecting means. This event was also characterized by its NDT instruments and equipments exhibition. Over 100 NDT manufacturers exhibited all sorts of latest instruments that almost covers all of the NDT fields, including UT phase-contronlling matrix, Laser and Infred Inspection system, multi-probe eddy current system, etc.

1.Chinese NDT technology's place in the NDT world family

   After this NDT event, CHSNDT will be the host of next event. It's quite important to realize the distance between current Chinese NDT technology and worldwide modern NDT technology. It is also a great subject for Chinese NDT colleagues to make efforts on.

   Successfully bidding for 17wcndt marks that Chinese NDT has been recognized by the world. We can predict that Chinese NDT career will be much more active and play an important role  in the future. During this event, many attendants came to communciate with our delegation, and seek for the feasibilities of partnership. World famous NDT R&D corporation GEIT signed with our delegation to support 17WCNDT in Shanghai. Number of Chinese NDT articles listed in the front, all of these witnessed Chinese NDT technology's progress.

   However, we should come to know that China belong to large NDT country, but not a powerful one. We have a society with most NDT numbers and we also have a largest market both in production and sales of NDT instruments. But our NDT instruments only occupy a low-level market, most high-tech equipments have to be imported from outside. We lack of initiative products in developing NDT instruments. Take CT technology as an example, we have developed industrial Ray CT for years, but we still have to import CT detecting equipments in many fields from other countries. C-Scan systems and precise microscopes have to be imported too.  It's a pity for us that we  find  no Chinese manufactures exhibit their products in this event. Therefore, we have to develop Chinese NDT technology in a further level

2.developing direction of NDT technology

   During this event, UT phase-controlling matrix technology, un-contacting UT inspection, multi-probe eddy-current technology, Guided-wave technology, Laser and Infred Technology attracted great focus and has become a popular subject. It has been a hot subject about how to create new NDT technology and develop new application based on current theory, designing means. it has been a common point for attendants that we should make use of long-tern international co-operation to accelerate NDT's innovation and improvements. With current high-tech progress, it is a subject to make use of Nami Technology and micro mechnical-electric system to develop NDT technology. Technology of sensor should also arouse people's focus.
